God created a perfect world. Everything He created was good. According to Gen 1:31, the Bible says, “God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning the sixth day.”
Then God created man. There was a perfect relationship between God and man. Man could stand in the presence of God. But man disobeyed God and the disobedience of man led to his separation from God. Man lost the glory that once enveloped him. Man fell short of the glory of God (Romans 3: 23). Even at the lowest moment of man, God still loved him. In Genesis 3:21, the Bible says, “God made a garment of skin for Adam and Eve and clothed them with it.” That is the extent to which God loves humanity. That is who God is. Love is His nature.
From the time man left the garden of Eden, God put in place a redemption plan. The redemption plan was how God was going to reconcile man back unto Himself. This plan was achieved when our Lord and master Jesus Christ came to die for our sins (John 3:16).
According to 2 Corinthians 5:18, “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” As believers, we have a role to play in God’s redemption plan. We have the privilege of being part of God’s unifying work on earth. This is a call we can’t decline. A call we can’t refuse. A divine call to point people to Jesus. Each of us has been given the ministry of reconciliation. There is an urgency on us to make Jesus known to this dying world. This is the time to make the Prince of Peace known to this world that knows no peace. We are the mouthpiece of God. We can’t afford to stay mute. We can’t afford to sit on the fence. Souls are perishing and we can’t remain silent.
As believers of the 21st century, there are so many opportunities at our disposal to make Christ known. We can use social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube and others to preach the gospel. We can also embark on one-on-one evangelism, house to house evangelism, information center evangelism as well as market evangelism.
In conclusion, “This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace” – Colossians 1:6 (NLT).
May the Holy Spirit empower us, as we go out to world with the Gospel of Christ.
