The Evangelism Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Kwesi Appiah, has made a strong appeal to all persons to surrender their lives to Christ, declaring that being born again is not optional but a divine requirement for salvation.
Speaking at the climax of the “You Must Be Born Again” Gospel Crusade at Ho Technical University on Sunday, June 1, 2025, Apostle Appiah delivered a sermon on the topic “You Must Be Born Again,” referencing 1 Timothy 2:3-5 and Ephesians 1:7 to explain the redemptive power available only through Jesus Christ.
“There is only one mediator between God and man — the man Jesus Christ,” he said, adding; “Faith in Christ sets us free from the power of sin. There’s a force that influences man which he cannot resist on his own, but through Jesus, we are redeemed and delivered.”
He explained that the command “You must be born again” is not a suggestion, but an uncompromising requirement for entering the Kingdom of God.
“It is a necessity. If you are born once, you will die twice. But if you are born twice, you only die once. This new birth is what saves us from eternal condemnation,” Apostle Appiah declared.
Referencing John 3:1–10, he warned against superficial religiosity and urged believers to pursue a genuine personal relationship with Christ.
“You can’t fake your way into salvation. Jesus knows every man. It’s not about position in the church — it’s about transformation through the Spirit,” he added.
He challenged Christians to reflect Christ in both private and public life, calling for consistency, spiritual discipline, and separation from sinful lifestyles.
“Being born again means being dead and buried with Christ. We don’t continue in sin. A born-again Christian is spiritually minded and lives with eternity in view,” he said, quoting Romans 6:3–6 and Hebrews 11:13–16.
The “You Must Be Born Again” Crusade held at the Ho Technical University began on Thursday. May 29, 2025 and ended on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
