EVANGELISM IS A COMMAND AND A PRIVILEGE – Pastor Enoch Amoah asserts

The message “Unleashed to Go and Tell” by Pastor Enoch Amoah (PIWC Assin Foso, Resident Minister), delivered at the launch of the National Youth Week, powerfully emphasizes the divine mandate for every believer—especially the youth—to “Go and Tell.”

Drawing inspiration from John 1:40–42, Matthew 28:18–20, and Exodus 3, Pastor Amoah reminds the church that the Great Commission is not a suggestion but a sacred command from Christ Himself. He explained that the Gospel is not like pollen grains that drift with the wind—it does not spread by accident. It spreads only when Spirit-filled men and women intentionally carry the message of salvation to others.

Pastor Amoah passionately declared that to “Go and Tell” means leaving our comfort zones to reach the lost, broken, and forgotten with the transforming message of Jesus. It means taking the Gospel beyond the church walls — into homes, streets, workplaces, schools, hospitals, markets, and even digital spaces like WhatsApp, Facebook, and TikTok. Wherever there are people, there must be messengers of the Gospel.

He stressed that evangelism is both a command and a privilege. We go because souls are perishing; we tell because Christ has already given us the power and authority to do so. Just as Moses was sent to deliver Israel and Paul was sent to the Gentiles, every believer today is sent to their generation. Pastor Amoah urged that when we obey the call to “Go and Tell,” heaven rejoices, lives are transformed, and the Kingdom of God advances.

Referencing the 2024 SOCA excerpts, he celebrated Elder Godson Boateng, Deacon Charles Addae, Deaconess Comfort Korsa, and Miss Beatrice Dzotepe for winning 1024, 92, 90, and 12 souls respectively.

With the children and youth constituting 76.5% of the church’s membership, he urged young people to rise as bold witnesses of Christ in their generation.

In conclusion, Pastor Amoah challenged the church:

“We have been unleashed to go and tell — no excuses! The mission is defined, the methods are ready, the message is known, and the power is already given. What are we waiting for? Let us go and tell!”
