The 2025 National Youth Week Celebration in the Atebubu Ahenfie District of The Church of Pentecost witnessed an extraordinary move of God under the theme “Unleashed to Go and Tell.” While evangelism teams moved house to house proclaiming the Gospel with zeal, the Lord chose to work a great miracle through a five-year-old girl Lawrencia, a radiant child from the Children’s Ministry, whose faith and courage would change her family forever.
After her Children’s Ministry service, little Lawrencia approached the “Go and Tell” evangelism team with striking determination. “I have invited my mummy to church many times, but she always says no,” she said earnestly. “Please follow me home after the adult service. I want her to meet Jesus.”
Touched by her boldness, the team gladly agreed. When the service ended, the little evangelist waited patiently, then led the team straight to her home. With the innocence and confidence of a true missionary, she announced, “Mummy, these are God’s people. They will tell you about Jesus!”
As the team shared the message of salvation, the power of the Holy Spirit filled the atmosphere. Conviction fell upon her mother, and with tears streaming down her face, she surrendered her life to Christ. That same day, she accompanied the team back to church to publicly declare her new faith.
In a beautiful and emotional moment, Pastor Daniel Okyei Boakye, the District Pastor, baptized her in water while the congregation rejoiced. Standing nearby, little Lawrencia watched with tears of joy, witnessing the fulfillment of her deepest prayer — her mother’s salvation.
But God was not done. As Pastor Boakye laid hands on her mother after the baptism, the Holy Spirit descended powerfully. She was gloriously baptized in the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues and magnifying the Lord in joyous praise. The entire auditorium erupted in worship as mother and daughter embraced, both transformed by the power of the Gospel.
Reflecting on the encounter, Pastor Boakye remarked, “When a child leads the way, even the hardest hearts yield. This is what it truly means to be unleashed to go and tell.” Indeed, through the simple, childlike faith of one little girl, heaven celebrated, a soul was saved, and a home was restored. The harvest is ready and sometimes, the reaper is only five years old.
