God has called every believer to a life of holiness, influence, and purpose. This calling is not limited to ministry but extends to all spheres of life. It is a divine summons to impact the world through the power of the Holy Spirit, manifesting God’s glory in all that we do.
The Resident Minister of PIWC-Sakumono, Apostle Seth Fianko-Larbi, emphasized this point at the recently held Mega Youth Watch Night service on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Salvation Army Park, Lartebiokorshie-Accra.
Speaking to the theme, ‘The Unleashed Youth: Living A Life Worthy of Their Calling’ (1 Thessalonians 4:7, Galatians 1:24, and Ephesians 4:1-2), Apostle Fianko-Larbi expounded that the theme emanates from the 2025 theme, serving as a guiding vision, reminding us of our mandate to walk in the fullness of our calling.
Explaining the nature of our calling, he underscored that our calling is a holy call. It is not limited to mere talk or external expressions of worship. It is a call to live as Christ did – demonstrating His power, performing miracles, and revealing His glory.
“When believers live above mere words, they cause others to see Jesus in them and bring praise to His name,” he reiterated.
Apostle Fianko-Larbi further noted that “a new level of glory is rising upon this generation. God’s glory has the capacity to stir up His people, transforming them into vessels of honor. As He equips them, He empowers them to influence their spheres – changing societal norms, bringing light to darkness (Isaiah 60:1), and serving as the aroma that counteracts the spiritual decay in our world.”
Throwing more light on his sermon, he explored some reasons why we need the grace of God. “To fulfill our calling, we need grace – the power of God at work within us,” he stated. Grace enables us to overcome challenges, navigate uncertainties, and manifest God’s purpose in our lives, the resident minister added.
Apostle Fianko-Larbi emphasized that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the power within us is greater than any opposition we may face (Romans 8:1).
Beyond our professions, God has a mantle for each of us. Our careers are not ends in themselves but platforms to manifest God’s calling, he iterated.
He admonished the youth, saying, “Workplace pressures and societal influences can challenge our faith, but God’s grace strengthens us to stand firm.”
He later expounded that “the anointing is not only for impartation but for elevation – placing believers at tables where key decisions are made. It is an anointing of influence.”
As God blesses us materially, we must embrace our responsibilities by living exemplary lives for Christ, building bridges to solve problems and meet needs in society, praying fervently, and interceding by standing in the gap.
He cautioned the youth about some oppositions to manifesting their calling, including self-sabotage, comparison, and competition, spiritual, and temptations of life.
“Our identity is in Christ, not in proving a point to others,” he admonished.
Highlighting the Levels of Grace, Apostle Fianko-Larbi explained that: Ankle-Level Grace represents new converts beginning their faith journey. Knee-Level Grace symbolizes believers learning to pray and grow in the Word. Waist-Level Grace indicates those who have crucified personal desires and fully surrendered to God’s will. Swimming-Level Grace is a state where one is completely immersed in God’s will, thinking, and purpose.
He further admonished that believers who wait on the Lord for grace are likened to eagles (Isaiah 40:28-31), causing them to accelerate to higher dimensions of life.
In conclusion, he emphasized that vision is more important than speed. When we depend on God, He supplies the grace needed to fulfill our divine assignment.
In attendance at the event were Apostle Ebenezer and Mrs. Priscilla Hagan, Director-Youth Ministry, Apostle Kingsley Addai, Resident Minister of PIWC, Kokomlemle-Accra, Pastor Pascal Asiedu, NEC Member, Youth Ministry, and some Youth Ministry Pastors and their wives, Area and District Youth Ministry Leaders.
