The Youth Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Ebenezer Hagan, has challenged students in Accra Technical University to understand their unique roles in ministry, reminding them that “we are aromas of Christ—our ministry can bring life or death to those around us.”
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Priscilla Hagan, he delivered a thought-provoking sermon during his visit to the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) at Accra Technical University today.
His message, titled “Living a Life Worthy of Your Calling; Balancing Your Life and Ministry,” drew inspiration from 2 Corinthians 4:1-3 and 1 Timothy 4:16.
Addressing a captivated audience of students, Apostle Hagan underscored the church’s vision of equipping its members to “possess the nations” by transforming their environments through Kingdom values and principles.
He emphasized that ministry transcends traditional roles such as pastors or clergy. Instead, it involves living in accordance with God’s values and principles to bring transformation wherever one finds themselves.
“Ministry is whatever you do for God with the mindset that you’re bringing transformation around you,” he stated, highlighting that the ultimate goal of ministry is transformation.
He explained that real death is separation from God and encouraged the audience to depend on God’s competence, as He alone makes His people capable of fulfilling their calling.
Highlighting the need for integrity, Apostle Hagan urged the students to renounce “secret and shameful ways” and avoid deception in their ministry. He noted that living a life worthy of one’s calling goes beyond pleasing God; it involves balancing one’s life and ministry in a way that reflects God’s approval.
The Youth Director also addressed challenges that may arise in balancing life and ministry. He cautioned against lifestyles within ministry that are not God-approved, emphasizing that doing ministry is about taking action and going where God leads.
