PENSA Cape Coast Sector Holds Fun Games

The Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) Cape Coast Sector organised fun games to foster friendship and unity among students from various institutions within the sector.

The event, held at the Cape Coast Technical Institute on November 24, 2024, saw participation from PENSA members of Cape Coast Nursing and Midwifery Training College (CCNMTC), Psychiatric Nursing Training College (PNTC), and Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU).

Participants engaged in various activities including football, volleyball, sack race, tennis ball, lime spoon race, and track events.

The PENSA Traveling Secretary for Cape Coast Sector, Pastor Blessing Joseph Quayson, addressed the participants, reading from 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.

He emphasised the importance of running a race with discipline and obedience to receive a prize, encouraging participants to aim for the imperishable heavenly crown. He indicated that the purpose of the games was not only to socialise but also to win souls for Christ.

The event kicked off with a table tennis match between the Traveling Secretary and a student. In the end, the CCNMTC ladies won the football match, while the PNMTC males emerged as champions in both football and the sack race.

The PNTC male team and CCTU ladies won the volleyball competitions. Additionally, CCNMTC gentlemen triumphed in the 100m race, and CCNMTC ladies won the sack race.

In the sack race among the Sector Working Team, Elder Bismark Afrifa Marfo and Deaconess Rebecca Darkwa took the first position, while Pastor Blessing Joseph Quayson came in second. The best players in the football games were Rebecca Sessay and Belinda Segbedzi from CCTU, and Priscilla Arthur from CCNMTC. The best male coaches were Elder James Ametepeh and Deacon Bismark Sekyi from CCTU, while the best female coach was Deaconess Rebecca Darkwa, the Patroness of PENSA-CCTU and a Working Team member.

Pastor Quayson and his wife, Mrs Esther Mansa Annan Quayson, presented the various trophies and awards to the deserving institutions and players.
