The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has called on Christians to see every job as a divine assignment.
He made this call on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the climax of the 2025 PENSA Ghana Conference.
Speaking on the theme, ‘Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Our Calling,’ he addressed the growing influence of secularism, which he described as a deceptive ideology that positions man as his own god.
Apostle Nyamekye said that secularism creates a spiritual vacuum, arguing that nature inherently resists the absence of divinity.
He reminded the youth that sin is fundamentally a departure from God.
‘The reason why those pushing this agenda are gaining ground is that the people of God are not acting. When we arise, they will fall,’ he asserted, calling for a collective awakening among Christians.
He highlighted that the world is under the influence of a kingdom led by the devil, and it is within this corrupt environment that Jesus was introduced as an agent of transformation.
Quoting John 3:16-17, Chairman Nyamekye reiterated that believers are also called to be agents of change, not to condemn but to save their world through their actions.
Stressing on the theme for 2025, he indicated that living a life worthy of one’s calling means rethinking faith as a ministry rather than merely a personal endeavour.
He encouraged believers to view their professions as divine assignments, stating, ‘The unleashed servants are not stolen from the workplace; they are sent to the workplace.’
Apostle Nyamekye explained that the ‘Possessing the Nations,’ agenda aims to empower the entire church to transform society through kingdom values and principles.
