You Carry IGP! – Ps. Mensah Asserts

The Church of Pentecost’s La Area Youth Pastor, Pastor Emmanuel Opoku Mensah, unraveled “Unleashed in the Power of the Holy Spirit to Do Exploits” during his sermon at the Mega Youth Watch Night on July 19, 2025, at Lartebiokorshie, Accra.

During the preface of his sermon, he said: “Our world is full of people who are popular, but we’re looking for people who are pure. Our world is full of people who are smart, but we are looking for people who are full of God. Our world is full of people who know their rights, but we’re looking for people who are morally right and correct. We’re looking for people filled with the Holy Spirit. You’ll leave here as a strong, changed person and do exploits.”

Citing Daniel 11:32, he explained that this prophetic word was Daniel’s declaration of what was about to happen or come upon Israel. From Genesis 1:26—28, he noted that God gave man dominion, but this mandate was cut short due to sin. The first assignment was for Adam to name the things God had created, as he had received the breath of God. Genesis Chapter 3 highlights the fall of man, and in Chapter 6, God declared, “My Spirit will not tarry with man forever.”

He emphasized how, in the book of Judges, scripture often says, “And the Spirit of God came upon him, and he did that,” revealing how God used people as vessels to communicate His will. Referring to John 14:15—16, he stated that though God’s Spirit would not always strive with man, He promised a Comforter who would be with us forever.

Delving deeper into Daniel, the preacher took his time to explain the scriptures, remarking, “Empower me. Let me never die without You using me fully. Let me not die without transforming my world.” He explained that the Jews believed they were God’s children and carried His presence, so they were confident wherever they went. Daniel, a seasoned politician, was thrown into the lion’s den during captivity, yet no harm befell him because he carried the Spirit of the Living God.

Quoting Mark 3:14, he admonished that to operate in the fullness of what God’s Word reveals, one must be with the Master. Spending quality time in His presence is what produces strength and spiritual might. He stressed that our strength emanates from such intimate fellowship, and our “strongness” comes from the Lord. He referenced Hebrews 11, which lists men and women who did great exploits through faith, reminding the audience that even though anti-Christian laws existed during Daniel’s time, he made bold turnarounds through supernatural power.

He emphasized that the Holy Spirit does not operate on a rotational shift, He abides with us forever. Concluding the sermon with Ephesians 1:18, he declared: “We’re leaving here as Spiritual IGPs, with IGP signifying Incomparable Great Power, and this is for those who believe. If you’re born again, God has wired you to go out there and do exploits. Do these: Be with the MAN, and spend quality time with HIM.
