Pentecost Young Missionaries Outreach

PYM was form in the year 2006. PYM is a short term missions program aimed at teaching and equipping young people in very practical ways how to  participate in and contribute to the church’s mandate of evangelism and church planting.

The goal of PYM is that young people will be exposed to the challenging realities of the great commission away from the comfort of their homes, whilst equipping them to develop a passion for souls in order that upon their return to their home churches, they shall mobilise others to become committed to winning the lost and disciplining new believers unto maturity in Christ.

AIM OF PYM

“To mobilise, equip and deploy members of the Youth Ministry in the Church of Pentecost to become involved in and committed to Missions and become disciple makers who will impact all people groups for Christ in Ghana and beyond”

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Any member of the Church of Pentecost from Teens upwards who has a heart for unreached people and for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

PYM is not just for young people and young adults, but also for youth leaders who feel the need to be exposed, equipped and be offered a missions challenge.

The focus of PYM is to create and sustain the heart and interest of the Youth in Missions and Church Planting. The focus is NOT to run a sight-seeing trip for the fun of it.

The lordship of Jesus Christ is the first step in Missions

• PYM provides a challenge to apathetic members to be involved in the missions challenge.
• Develops a sustainable pool of missions – minded membership
• Creates an increased passion and commitment to the great commission.
• Offers an opportunity for participants to win and disciple new believers.
• Gives sponsors an opportunity to be blessed
• Lends a “helping hand” to field workers in the hosting local assemblies for at least one( 1 )month
• Participants will be afforded an experience In demonstrating the power of God.

COST OF PYM

PYM 2020 will cost GHc20.00 per individual.

2019

Pentecost Young Missionaries (PYM) Outreach
The Young Missionaries outreach for 2019 was held from 2nd to 30th July, 2019. The 2019 outreach was held on zonal levels: Greater Accra and Volta, Central and Western Region, the Northern and Upper Regions, Ashanti and Brong Ahafo. The participants who registered for the outreach were taken through a 5-day “Fishers’ of Men” fasting and prayer retreat from 2nd to 6th July, 2019 to equip them for the missions’ work.

At the end of the outreach, 5 new assemblies were opened. A total of 3,658 souls were won which includes 586 children. 422 people received water baptism immediately, 434 received Holy Spirit Baptism, whilst the remaining are being followed.

2018

Pentecost Young Missionaries (PYM) Outreach
The Young Missionaries outreach for 2018 was held from 7th to 30th July, 2018 in Tamale, Sawla and Greater Accra Areas. The participants who registered for the outreach were taken through a 5-day “Fishers’ of Men” fasting and prayer retreat, which was held at the University of Ghana, Legon from 2nd to 6th July, 2016 to equip the participants for the missions’ work.

At the end of the outreach 6 new assemblies were opened consisting of 4 from Sawla Area, and 2 from Tamale Area. A total of 2,776 souls were won which includes 572 children. Six Hundred and Sixty-four people received water baptism immediately whiles the remaining are being followed.
